Other notifications and applications for changes

When there is a change in your information, you must notify Immigration Service Agency of the change within 14 days of the occurrence. Be sure to do this, failure to do so may result in a request from the Immigration Office that you come to the Immigration Office.
Depending on the contents of the notification, you can send the notification form by post or use the Immigration Online notification system (e-Notification System)

1.There is a change in the information on the resident card other than the address.(Change of name, date of birth, gender or nationality/region)

* To change your address, go to the city/ward office.

2.The accepting organization (school, company, etc.) changes its name or location, ceases to exist, or you leave or are transferred from the accepting organization.

This notification is also required when you changed from an undergraduate student to a graduate student or changed from master's program to doctoral program. Submit this information even if you are changing your student registration within Chiba University. Applicants who entered Chiba University from a Japanese language school or another university in Japan must apply.

3.A person who already resides in Japan with status of residence of “Dependent” as a spouse, and divorces his/her spouse, or the spouse has died
